Privacy policy
PursuitOS (pursuit.beegool.com) is a job-search workspace operated by Alpharithmic LLC ("we"). This policy explains what PursuitOS stores, how it uses your data, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: farukht@gmail.com.
What we store
- Your account: email address, the name you give us, and your password, stored only as a salted one-way hash. If you use Sign in with Google, we store the identifier Google gives us for your account, your email address and your name.
- What you put in your workspace: resumes you upload and the text extracted from them, companies and job listings you track, contacts you add or import (for example from a LinkedIn data export), drafts, notes, applications, interviews, offers, reminders and preferences.
- Job listings from public sources: postings fetched from public applicant-tracking boards for companies you track, and, if you connect your own Adzuna account, from Adzuna.
- Keys you choose to save (an OpenAI API key, Adzuna credentials) and your Gmail authorization, encrypted at rest.
- Operational data: a sign-in cookie, and server logs of requests (including IP addresses) used to run and secure the service.
Gmail
Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect it, PursuitOS asks Google for permission to read your mail
(gmail.readonly) and to send mail (gmail.send), and uses that access only for these features:
- Reply tracking: reads messages exchanged with the contacts on your active job pursuits, within the time window you choose, and stores copies of those messages in your workspace. Other mail is not stored.
- LinkedIn notifications (only if you turn this on): reads LinkedIn message-notification emails and stores a short preview.
- Company search (only when you start one): reads sender, recipient, date and subject of a limited number of messages mentioning a company you name, to suggest contacts. Nothing is saved unless you add it.
- Sending: sends only email drafts you have reviewed and explicitly approved, one at a time. PursuitOS never sends on its own.
PursuitOS's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell Gmail data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. People do not read it, except with your permission, to investigate abuse or a security problem, or where the law requires it.
AI features
AI features are off by default and use your own OpenAI API key. Nothing is sent to OpenAI unless you tick the box for that specific request. When you do, PursuitOS sends the content that request needs. Depending on the feature, that can be job descriptions, your resume claims, your contacts' names, titles and contact details, your drafts, career goals and saved preferences, recent Copilot conversation, and the text of email replies on a pursuit. OpenAI processes it under the terms of your agreement with OpenAI.
Who else receives data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only as needed to provide the service:
- Google: when you connect Gmail or sign in with Google.
- OpenAI: only for requests where you turned AI on, using your key.
- Resend: delivers our account emails (confirmation and password reset), so it receives your email address and that message.
- Adzuna and public job boards: receive the search terms you use, when you search them.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
How your data is protected
PursuitOS runs on servers we operate in the United States, reached only over HTTPS. Each account's data is kept apart by the database itself, not only by application code: one account cannot read another's. Gmail authorizations and API keys are encrypted at rest.
How long we keep it
Your data stays until you delete it or delete your account. Database backups are kept for up to 12 months. Data you delete leaves our backups as they expire.
Your choices
- Download your data: Setup → Download backup gives you a copy of your workspace and files.
- Disconnect Gmail: removes our access and revokes the authorization at Google. You can also revoke it at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete your account: account menu (bottom-left of any page) → Delete account. This erases your workspace, files, saved keys and Gmail authorization.
- Or write to farukht@gmail.com to see, correct or delete your data.
Cookies
PursuitOS uses one cookie to keep you signed in and, during Google sign-in, a short-lived cookie that ties Google's response to your browser. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Children
PursuitOS is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above, and tell account holders by email about significant changes.
